Day 161 - Flora Post - Orange / Red

This background paper was made with acrylic paints and iridescent acrylics over black paper. It comes out really cool - it looks strangely metallic but also the color pops over the black. Really fun to make. I tried to put something in the middle of the orange blob of paper, but nothing seemed to work so I left it naked.

Day 160 - Flora Post - Purple / Orange

Isn't this background paper cool? I made it with kid's finger paints and a comb in our ATC club meeting. Fun, fun, fun! Makes me want to do more fancy backgrounds with paste paper and stuff.

Another nice faux postal. I wanted to use the white flowers from this set, but thought that a theme of just white would be boring. Perhaps it's still boring.

For some reason, when I had a garden I never had good luck with dahlias. I tried several times with different kinds of dahlias. Probably some basic thing I was overlooking.

Pink is another color that is not my favorite, but is fun now and then. I especially like to use little bits of bright pink here and there in collages and paintings.

Day 17 - Green

Today's theme is/was green. One thing I really noticed today is how hard it is sometimes to make a collage this small. Although I'm glad I didn't pick a larger format for this challenge,  I had to reject a bunch of stuff because it was too big for the ATC.
BTW, the picture is of my grandmother, grandfather and his sister. Their last names began with "F".
