ATC #226 - Juicy

We are so lucky to be getting some delicious fruits from places with growing seasons different from our local seasons. Pears and blackberries have been my favorites in the last few months.

Stamped, collage.

Day 166 - Year of the Horse

I made this faux postal in 2002 for the Year of the Horse using rubber stamps and a mask. I was born in a Horse year.

Day 155 - In Dreams

A friend often comes down to San Diego for the weekend. Sometimes we get together to play with collage & stamping, and her daughter joins us too. I went over there and she and my friends threw a surprise birthday party for me! I was totally surprised and had great fun! We had some time after eating dinner and birthday cupcakes to play a little. This is one of the ATCs I stamped there.

Day 150 - Fly Home

I like this bird stamp, although it has no eye, so I have to add it with a pen. I'm trying to catch up with posting! Hopefully tomorrow I will finish them all.

Day 83 - Fuchsia with Butterfly

Never mind that butterflies don't care about fuchsia flowers. I'm making a feeble attempt to justify my rubber stamp collection and this is a nice set, so I decided to use it today.
Rubber stamps, watercolor.

Day 77 - Embrace Imperfection

This started out as a reject from a series of ATCs I made a couple of years ago. I started out with one large (9" x 12") sheet of paper, painted all over it somewhat randomly, collaged, stamped, painted and stamped again. Then I cut it up for ATCs. The text in the background made it impossible to read the message (ironically) on this one, so I didn't use it in my series. I found it recently and decided to recycle it into a new ATC for this project.
Painted and collaged papers, postage stamp, inks, embellishments.

Day 31 - Run with the Wind

One of the women in my painting class had made sponge stamps by cutting up compressed sponges & she suggested I should stamp some ATCs to save myself time. So she loaned me one of hers shaped like a running horse. I think she did a great job cutting up the sponge & I had fun stamping with it. I'm going to look for some of those compressed sponges to play with. Here is the first ATC from that series; I just added detail with my Micron pen. Too bad my handwriting is so awful!
